Global iGuerilla Update

Terror Trolling

Sunday, June 14, 2015

In May an Islamic State Mujatweet claimed the group has 71 fighters in America. This weekend’s IS Tweet broadcasted the address of the Mohammad Cartoon organizer and exhorted supporters to Go Forth and Kill Her.

These messages seem at odds. From a terrorist perspective it’s preferable to launch a surprise attack by cutthroats resulting in bloody headlines splashed across global media outlets than to rely on lone wolf amateur hour antics like the Texas Terror Twins and the Bungled Boston Beheader: US-3, Terrorists-0. They didn’t make the terrorists look very terrifying.

While only a fool would conclude that there are no sleeper cells in the US, one can hope that the majority of them are homegrown head cases from the shallow end of the gene pool. Since hope is not a method, vigilance remains the key to preventing and American Charlie Hebdo or worse.
