Hack Attack

A top Islamic State cyber hacker who exposed the records of hundreds of US military and civilian personal for lone wolves to kill was killed himself. Abu Hussain al-Britani (from Britain) was killed by a “targeted strike” outside the Syrian city of Raqqa, the declared IS capital.

Hussain and the IS Hacking Division:

• Used tweets to urge “lone wolves” to “process the info and assassinate”
• Led IS efforts to recruit computer savvy westerners to Syria
• Was implicated in the failed Texas cartoon attack
• Was implicated in the planning of an attack in London during VJ Day
celebrations—an attack that would endanger Queen Elizabeth

These threats were significant enough to warrant special attention resulting in Mr. Hussain being taken offline.
